As a terminal patient who has dealt with doctors for years now, I have learned a LOT about patient rights. IMHO, my husband's rights are being violated because they have REFUSED to allow him to see Dr. Glenn. At his last visit he had hit his head in their office; deep enough it needed stitches (glue) for closure. Before they even tended or LOOKED at the wound, the Nurse practitioner lectured him and questioned him about his meds that Dr Glenn, her boss, had prescribed him. She, without Dr Glenn's approval, took him off one of his meds.
I'm a Minister and at this point all I can do is pray. There are TOO many so called medical professionals who treat patients with condescending and patronizing attitudes. What happened to people caring?
The staff is very kind and patient. However, the Nurse Practitioner Betty, does not have a healthy bedside manner. After 10+ years of patient experience with Dr. Glenn, my husband has been very satisfied with his compassion and professionalism. Unfortunately, due to the high patient/provider ratio, he has been forced to see Betty.
It's very disappointing considering that my husband lives in pain due to a botched back surgery, is not an addict, is always honest and forthcoming with them, and has been Dr Glenn's patient for over a decade.
